Squares and rectangles suddenly transform into castles, bridges, or entire worlds. Later, these blocks move onto the screen: Tetris, Mario – still that endless game of shapes that fit, spin, and stack. How can something as simple as a square remain so captivating?

I began to wonder: why should squares only be toys or pixels? Why do we only shift them on a smartphone screen, and not in our own homes, on our walls? Wouldn’t it be possible to enchant walls with squares? Not just to look at, but to use? For me as an artist, the challenge was clear: how can you make a wall both magical and functional?

That’s how the Quadry Collection was born. Squares that don’t stay flat, but gain depth. Squares that hold shelves, hide hooks, and create space. It’s like taking Tetris off the screen and hanging it on the wall – only this time, it stays.

Because why should a wall remain passive, just a silent background? It can join the game, become a player in the interior. In the living room, a square turns into a bookshelf or a stage for art. In the kitchen, it becomes a herb shelf, a bottle rack, or a place for a bonsai. In the hallway, it keeps keys ready or serves as a coat rack. In the study, it holds memories, photos, or small objects that inspire. It can even be a shoe rack or a coffee table. And imagine this: a magnetic board where you don’t just leave notes, but also a simple “I love you” for the one you love. How wonderful is that?

What fascinates me about the square is that it looks so simple. Everyone knows it, and yet no one ever tires of it. A row of squares feels clear and minimalistic. A playful arrangement feels light and creative. In every compartment, a new story can unfold: a plant, a vase, a bunch of keys, or a small message. Squares are more than shapes – they become windows into your own life.

And you know what? The inspiration didn’t come from a museum or a design book, but simply from everyday life. I saw my grandchildren playing. First with blocks, later with Tetris on the screen. And I thought: the same fascination they feel now, I still feel too. So I created squares that don’t disappear when the game ends, but remain – in wood, in color, in rhythm, in simplicity.

The Quadry Collection is my way of bringing play and design together. A tribute to the simplicity of the square.
